In the 1920's Thomas Smith invented the Traditional Sussex Trug Basket and in 1829 he founded the very same family business which continues to make these beautiful hand-crafted trugs today.
Using traditional methods each trug is hand made from sustainably sourced sweet chestnut and willow wood. Each one is individually signed by the maker.
