We're calling this beautiful collection of Mentori vases 'Blossom'. Inspired by the spring-flowering Japanese cherry trees typifying the soft hues of pinks through to whites.
Mentori, meaning faceted in Japanese, describes the curved surface of this unique vase. Thrown on the wheel with a mix of terracotta and white stoneware and faceted with carving tools. Glazed in Dolomite White, which has a matt appearance. Inspiration comes from classical East Asian potteries.
Handmade in the UK by Mizuyo Yamashita, a Japanese ceramicist based in London.
Each piece is individually thrown and therefore unique. Measurements are approximate.
